Some little unicorns got together to celebrate a friend’s birthday party! The kids had a great time doing some unicorn themed workshops while wearing their most fabulous unicorn attire!
On the second Saturday of every month, Art Box hosts a workshop in which families can work together to create wonderful works of art. This month, we learned all about the Dada art movement and collaborated with our loved ones to create some mixed media collages.
In honor of Veteran’s Day, Art Box hosted a camp in which we learned about different artists and art movements influenced by the First World War. We focused on the Cubist, Dada, and Surrealist art movements and worked on some very unique projects!
Art Box hosted a birthday party for a very special Harry Potter fan! We had a great time decorating our own spell books and making potions (a.k.a. slime!)
Art Box hosted its annual Pumpkin Carving Contest for adults on October 27th! The top 3 most creative pumpkins took home some great prizes.
On October 20th, Art Box hosted an Art Show Fundraiser in hopes of raising money for various charities. 50% of all art sold went to the charity of the artist’s choice. Exhibiting artists Sofia del Rivero, Johann Muñoz, Magdalena Ramirez-Wright and Nathalie Fernandez donated to Red Cross Mexico, the Fonkoze Foundation, Fondo Unido Mexico, and St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital respectively.
The third Thursday of every month, Art Box hosts an “Art Night” for adults! This month, guest artist Giannina Brusatin led participants through the workshop “Explorations in Watercolor.”
Art Box hosted a family fundraiser, in which families united to create the most unique Mexican sugar skull, or “calavera.” The best one took home a prize! All proceeds went to the victims of the earthquakes in Mexico.
On the third Thursday of every month, Art Box hosts an Art Night for adults! This month, we teamed up with the Barrett School of Music. Participants created some Abstract-Expressionist paintings inspired by the sounds and music of live musicians!
